About Fran Lebowitz

Dubbed a modern-day Dorothy Parker by The New York Times, Fran Lebowitz is celebrated for her astute social commentary and sharp humor. She gained fame with her books "Metropolitan Life" and "Social Studies," later compiled into "The Fran Lebowitz Reader" in 1994. Fran has also been the subject of two documentaries directed by Martin Scorsese: the HBO documentary "Public Speaking" (2010) and the Netflix docu-series "Pretend It's a City" (2021).
